Palestinians mourned at least 19 people killed in Israel's overnight strikes on the al-Farabi school and Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood in Gaza City. The intense bombardment comes as Israel's military has levelled several high-rise residential towers in the area, ordering Palestinians to flee southward. But many of Gaza City's one million residents are exhausted, and say they do not know where else to go.

Footage from Gaza shows a distressed Palestinian child lying on the ground with a bandage around his leg. A man films the encounter and asks the boy his name, but the child is unable to respond due to his condition.

At least 67 people were killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza today, most of them in Gaza City. Dozens of bodies have arrived at Al Shifa Hospital following relentless bombardment, with medical staff reporting that many of the victims are children. Among them were nine people, including four children, who were killed when Israeli strikes targeted a displacement tent and a home in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood. Hospitals remain overwhelmed as air raids continue across the city, with large numbers of wounded arriving.

Trump orders removal of historic White House peace vigil after 44 years

President Trump has ordered the dismantling of the White House Peace Vigil, potentially ending what is recognised as the longest continuous protest in US history. The vigil, first established in 1981, has stood outside the White House for more than four decades, calling for global nuclear disarmament and peace. Activist William Thomas began the round-the-clock protest, which has since been maintained by a rotating group of volunteers. Trump issued the order on Friday after a reporter described the small tent opposite the White House as an “eyesore”. Supporters say the vigil has long been a symbol of free speech and anti-war activism and argue that tearing it down undermines the right to protest in front of the nation’s most powerful institution. The decision marks the likely end of a 44-year vigil that spanned seven presidencies and stood as a daily reminder of the call for peace.

Following the recent cabinet reshuffle that saw Yvette Cooper replace David Lammy as Foreign Secretary, former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has dismissed the move as "shifting the deck chairs around," predicting that no meaningful change in the UK’s stance on Palestine. In an interview with MEE, Corbyn criticised Cooper’s record, highlighting her role in pushing forward legislation to ban Palestine Action, a move he called “horrendous” and currently under judicial review, and cast doubt on her ability to bring substantive change to foreign policy.

As a national march in solidarity with Palestine moved through the streets of London on Saturday, demonstrators also gathered in Parliament Square to urge the government to reverse its ban on Palestine Action.

The group was outlawed days after admitting to breaking into an air force base in southern England, where authorities said the raid caused around £7m ($9.3m) in damage to two aircraft.

Since the ban came into force, police have arrested hundreds of protesters for carrying signs expressing support for the group or calling on the government to reconsider its decision.
