August 30th at 5pm PT/8pm ET, we’re teaming up with celebrities like Dave Matthews; Jennifer Lawrence; Sia; Ed Helms

Amidst a global pandemic, some politicians are spreading lies to discredit and disrupt mail-in voting – something that is absolutely necessary to keep the 2020 election free and fair. They’ve publicly admitted to taking actions that will begin to delay mail so that, come election day, some ballots won’t make it across the finish line. We must stand up and protect our right to vote.

This Sunday, August 30th at 5pm PT/8pm ET, we’re teaming up with celebrities like Dave Matthews; Jennifer Lawrence; Sia; Ed Helms; the head writer of Conan, Matt O'Brien; and others to raise $2 million dollars to expand access to absentee ballots, as well as safe, sanitary, and accessible in-person voting locations. This won’t be like your ordinary political event. Expect musical performances, live Q&A on how to take action, and comedy – because, let’s face it, we all need a little laughter right now!

Here are three reasons we must ‘Save The Vote’ and what we mean by that:

1. Our overseas military members vote absentee by mail. We’re up against a harsh reality that voting during a pandemic will deter our elderly voters, people who have compromised immune systems, and millions of other Americans who simply don’t want to take the risk. Also affected by this attack on absentee voting are our military personnel, who fight for our freedom everyday. Will we fight for theirs?

2. Protecting our elections so everyone has access to safe and secure options. We have to protect our people and the ideals this nation was founded on. By ensuring adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) and organized staffing at in-person voting sites, the VoteSafe campaign is working to ensure every American has reliable access to safe voting. We must make sure all voices are heard.

3. Correcting disinformation that is undermining trust in our elections. Nearly half of Americans now believe that vote by mail invites fraud. If we do not stop the lies about absentee voting, the table is set for a constitutional crisis in which the losing side could claim the 2020 election is null and void. The VoteSafe campaign will work to ensure a peaceful start to the next administration, no matter who wins.

RSVP now to attend our virtual ‘Save the Vote’ event this Sunday to support VoteSafe — and bring a friend!
