Vote at Home, Congressional Progressive Caucus Center

While all of us are deeply concerned about the public health and the health of the economy, there is no doubt that the health of our democracy is also in jeopardy.


I have a piece in The Hill about the urgent need for universal vote at home in the United States. Vote at home is a vital means of protecting health and safety during a pandemic and enabling all of us, including the most vulnerable, to have a say in our democracy.

Congress must act now to provide critical funding for vote at home.


The legislation introduced by Senators Wyden and Klobuchar, as well as Representatives Blumenauer, DelBene, and Raskin would allow universal vote at home, with pre-paid postage and self-sealing envelopes, in the event of a pandemic or another widespread natural disaster.
