End the DCCC blacklist
The Intercept reported that a DCCC-linked digital firm worked for one of the candidates who is challenging Ilhan Omar in Minnesota’s 5th District. This once again proves that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s blacklist is just meant to hurt one side: progressives.
We’ve been fighting against the DCCC’s blacklist policy since day one because it is fundamentally undemocratic and only exists to block diverse, working-class, progressive candidates from winning elections.
If you’re outraged that a DCCC-linked firm worked for a candidate who’s challenging Ilhan, then sign on to demand that the DCCC immediately ends their blacklisting policy.
Sign On: End the blacklist
When the DCCC announced their blacklist policy they said it was to protect our Democratic majority, but clearly that was a lie.
The hypocrisy is stunning. While progressive challengers like Marie Newman have struggled to find companies to work for them, a DCCC-linked firm did business with a conservative Democrat who’s primarying Ilhan Omar.
We recruited Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to run for Congress in 2018 and together we proved that people-powered campaigns can successfully take on the establishment machine and win. So in response to our victory, the DCCC implemented this fundamentally anti-democratic policy.
The DCCC’s blacklist puts our progressive primary challengers at a disadvantage as they fight for the soul of the Democratic Party. We need you to help us make our people power stronger than their corporate power.
Will you sign on and tell the DCCC that they must end their anti-democratic, anti-progressive policy of blacklisting vendors who work on primary campaigns?
Thank you for fighting with us,
Justice Democrats team
