I was in New York City yesterday, but it wasn’t to attend a fancy closed-door fundraiser on Wall Street. I’ll be in California next week, but I won’t be hosting one there either.




Instead, this campaign is funded entirely by grassroots individual donations.




A lot of people think that’s a crazy idea. People say, "Bernie, how can you win without a super PAC? How do you expect to raise what it takes to defeat Trump and the billionaire class without high-dollar fundraisers?"




The answer is simple: I trust you.




I trust people in this country are willing to fight for a government that represents all of us, and not just the 1 percent. I trust that people are ready to take on the drug companies, the fossil fuel industry, and the greed of corporate America.




So instead of hosting a fundraiser on Wall Street, we are going to hold one all weekend — online — ahead of our critical FEC fundraising deadline that ends in just a few days.
